My heart has been truly humbled this year. We have endured many trials and tribulations, as so many also have this year. In Jan/Feb my DS/DH came down with a terrible case of the flu which turned in to pneumonia. When my DH went back to work it was only to find that there really wasn't much to do...so lay offs started (happy to know that was short lived for us~he works for the BEST company ever!! They are truly family to us!!) Also in Feb, we had high medical bills which were only partially covered. In May we came so very close to losing our daughter...she was only just fully discharged on Friday!! And so on and so on...it just keeps piling on our plates!! They say there is light at the end of the tunnel....I'm still looking for the end of it!! lol

My point is not to have you feel badly but rather to help those going through trials know that sometimes bad things happen, sometimes things are down right rotten, awful!! If in these times we can turn to the things that are most important...Faith Family Friends...it seems easier KNOWING you are not alone, KNOWING that this too shall pass (although I AM starting to wonder!!lol)

I am thankful for my family, for my friends and especially knowing that the Lord for whatever reason preserved my daughters life, helped us along the path of misery and despair, and is still to this day walking along beside us as we trek through unknown terrain and heart retching territory.

May YOUR days be merry and bright, may you find JOY in your loved ones eyes, may you FEEL the love of the spirit and may you awake everyday with HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT in your heart.

I am thankful that through all this darkness I have had continuing customers, who have in the years become friends...and more recently a shoulder to cry on. THANK YOU to YOU for helping me to stay busy and preoccupied when things I could not control, controlled my life.

Today try turning closer to those you love, say a prayer in someones honor and call and old friends you love dearly.

Summer is finally here!!

The kids are out of school and the sun could not be brighter!! Things are looking up, OR so you thought...unfortunately that also means YOU may become the entertainment comity!! Hmmmm, what to do on those rainy days...OR days in between activities...cause we have to have some of those!! Well, how about getting out your much loved scrapbooking treasures and doing a page or two~or get catch up all together?? OH!! Right...the kids will be right there wondering "What can I do?? I'm bored?!" Well, what about getting them involved with their own scrapbook?? You can buy your kids some of those cheap cameras, go to the discount section at your local craft shop or Walmart and get THEM to pick out $10-$20 worth of scrapbook goods...they can have those papers you only have mismatches to or odds and ends you have no idea what to do with~kids are geniuses they'll know what to do!! Enjoy your days with the kids, even on those down days when things need to slow down just a bit. It's ONLY 2 months...and before you know it you'll be loading everyone in the vehicle for the New school year and wondering "Where did the time go?" Our time with our children is so very, very precious. Enjoy every moment...for that is what we are scrapbooking...trying to remember right?? it from a mom of 6~do them!! Even if you want to put them away from a while...you'll want to look
at them later!!

all ready to goto church!!
On those mornings when your home is filled with joy, grab the camera and get some nice shots.
These are the days we make our memories.




Beach day are fun...but who wants to sit outside all day taking pics??
When you first get there and everyone is still refreshed, happy and not too hot yet...go camera crazy.




After that, put it away and enjoy the moments knowing you've got some great pics to scrapbook later...and now is time to relax.



Birthday party days can be a great time to take some really nice pics!!
The kids are happy...usually, they are dressed nice and the camera is ready to go!!







Baby pages are sooo easy to do!! There are endless possibilities, unlimited embellishments, stickers, and cute papers!!
Not mention they have our hearts full attention!!

Little girls pics also have such an advantage as there too is sooo much out there to dress up your pages.

By creating simple but beautiful books, you not only save time...but you actually get them all caught up!!

Enjoy your life and the wonders of it. Take notes of the little things that make you happy and all the while...capture the moments along the way that we will one day call memories. These are the times to take in all we have, all we will be and all we strive to be!! Be the YOU you've always dreamed of. When you enjoy the moments you have you will enjoy the memories even more!! Enjoy recreating the moments that are important to you for one day they too will be important to the ones you are scrapbooking!!

*lose a pound or two (most of us have that luxury)


*cuddle with a child


*say something kind to your spouse everyday for 30 days~


bet you can't stop there!!


*cook a nice breakfast with those you love


*be involved


*watch an outdoor sport


*do something unexpected for your neighbor


*bake cookies on a rainy day~


*enjoy them by the fire, with warm coco


*mow someone else's lawn!!


*paint a picture (don't be afraid to try)


*don't turn on anything electronic for 1 day


*listen to the birds outside your window


*have a picnic


*visit someone in a nursing home~even if you don't know them...


you may be their only visitor!!


*pick flowers~more will grow, don't worry


*have a beautiful array of flowers on your kitchen table


*enjoy simplicity


*wear flip flops


*paint your toes a bright color


*try a new recipe for a friend~enjoy the meal together


*eat strawberries dipped in melted chocolate


*allow a mess every now and then


*holds a sleeping baby


*sit outside on the deck and enjoy the silence


*buy a new summer outfit~marvel at how great you look!!





The list goes on and on. This summer enjoy the good things, the things that make you happy, make you feel whole, and make you feel proud to be who you are. Be you, be True.


Smile more, Giggle more, Eat outside more, Be kinder, Be joyful and be open to the paths time can guide us through. For a moment, believe there is a higher being, better than you, ready to hear your fears, your joys, your tears. Ready to catch you when you fall, and be there when things are great!! I hope the summer months take you to familiar places, with family and friends, where good food is enjoyed and laughter echoes through the land. Enjoy the time, for summer can be short, but can be the funnest time of all!! Unforgettable memories...to be scrapbook on cooler days to come.

Take the time to Breathe today

Today let all the worries of the world flow away from you. BREATHE. Take time that belongs to you and enjoy the moment. Think of the things that make you happy. SAVOUR them. The things that make you worry or stress you...RELEASE them. BREATHE. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the soft falling snow, knowing that this too shall pass and all too soon the hustle and bustle of summer fun will be upon us. Know that you are loved, needed, wanted, and most valuable to those around you. SMILE. Think of the little ones in your life and the joy they bring to you each day. Whether it be your own children or those of others, enjoy their fullness of life, their funny little sayings, words, and phrases. GIGGLE. Close your eyes and remember the sun upon your skin.
